Ceramics

These pieces are made from traditional clay used for pottery; mostly stoneware – earthenware.  The clay is rolled out into thin slabs, then texture is applied.  The pieces are cut, finished and allowed to dry.  Then the pieces are fired in a kiln, then glazed, then fired again.

After the clay pieces are finished, they are assembled and various embellishments are added, such as charms, beads and decorative clasps.  Some of my embellishments are made by me from silver clay, and others are found during my travels.

All materials used to join the pieces together are made from stainless steel, which does not tarnish.  All ear wires used are made from surgical steel.

My necklaces are sometimes strung with beads, otherwise I use silk or leather cords.  There is always a choice in the cord length.  If you would like a longer or shorter cord, or something other than what is shown, please message me and I will be happy to change if possible.
